Pardon the profanity, but are they out of their FUCKING minds? Only a lame duck congress would try to kill something as important as this. The US government acts as if they own the damn skies over the earth. If the second Bush administration goes ahead and kills this bill, you will see other countries develop better space flight technologies and we will be forced to catch up and in this race, there are no awards for second place. I don’t want to be second to anyone. I have always dreamed of going in to space and possibly working in space. Also, if they kill this bill – like I said, other countries will be more apt to do what we won’t and the job loss will be enormous. I guess we will keep pouring more money in to large contractors that are in the back pocket of the politicians that other people elected. Space is our last bastion of hope for exploration and I don’t want some old fart from nowheresville pissing on my camp fire. Keep this bill alive and lets start harvesting that US can do spirit again.
