Another rumor says that he is one of Bush’s top choices in the event of another Supreme Court vacancy (it would be hard for the Senate to vote down one of their colleagues). He also might be in the running for AG if Gonzales goes, as looks likely.

Cornyn is soemwhat vulnerable, so I can see why Lampson would be interested. Personally, I think im going with Kos’s suggestion of Rick Noriega (at least I think thats who he suggested).
