I've been on rollercoasters, and I've been on a Zero-G flight. There is very little parity between the two as far as experiences go. Flying teachers on Zero-G flights is a brilliant idea, maybe I'll go into teaching so that I can get another ride. Students need to be riding as well so that they can, like, totally share the experience with their friends.

In many schools the AP physics classes already go on field trips to amusement parks, specifically to link the fun of the rides to the physics and engineering involved in them. So, your sarcasm falls a little flat.

In any event, I'm not sure why there would be a rush of legislation to protect teachers on sub orbital spaceflights. If a commercial suborbital flight kills its passengers, it won't make much difference if they are teachers or millionaires to the regulators. I suppose he's suggesting there would be more public outcry if a teacher is killed, but I don't find that argument persuasive.

Why not implement a program that puts teachers on roller coasters? Same basic experience for less risk, same minimal gain for less expense.
