I think he’ll fit in very well.

Then again, wasn’t this the guy who made complementary references to Hitler’s managerial ability, and has a long conversation with Sean Hannity about the pseudoscience of global warming? In that district, the artillery is tied down and pointed straight up, not loose.

I’ve met Kosmas. While I, too, have some differences with her, I think she is supporting space R&D according to her political lights. Yes, there is the jobs in the district factor to be sure. But I don’t think that is all there is to her actions.

She’s not fighting for “the space program.” Or at least, she’s not fighting for making progress in space. She’s fighting for jobs in her district.

Which is her job.

I don’t particularly care for her other politics, but there is no question that Kosmas has been fighting tooth and nail for the space program since she was elected. She has been punching way above her weight within the house.

My gut reaction says that a former Notre Dame football coach is not likely to fight for us with anything like the same vigor. I’ll believe it when I see it.
