Yeah, O’Keefe did a real political hack job on NASA — seeing the agency through the Columbia disaster, getting the White House to agree to a new vision for human space flight after the disaster, securing $1 billion in funding for that vision, and standing up a new organization within NASA to execute it.

We may not agree with all of O’Keefe’s decisions as Administrator, but that doesn’t mean that he’s a political hack or treated the agency as such.

Take your ugly venom elsewhere.

He didn’t get tired of the ivory tower. At least one ivory tower got tired of him. Reasons are not completely clear, but it just wasn’t a good mix.
