Also, the NASA HSF contracts are way more rigged and politically tainted and are the prime examples of pork. The Ares I vehicle is a monument to pork. Ares I – NASA and ATK giving America the Shaft.

I think you assume to be a conservative you must defer to a market for all things, even when the market is rigged and politically tainted as is the ‘market’ for commercial space. You are wrong. You should not outsource your thinking. Manned space flight is more analogous to the military. It is a shared resource the country needs. It is used to project power and influence.
