Babin considers the space program essential for a number of reasons and would prioritize protecting and funding the U.S. space program and the JSC. Streusand takes a different approach and supports privitization of NASA rather than federal funding and wants to help a California company, SpaceX, do more work at the JSC by offering them tax breaks so they don’t have to compete with Lockhead Martin and Boeing for space contracts.
