Thought that about $176million or so of the CC allocation was quarantined until NASA had produced a report on the full program costs and benefits or some such. Anyone able to confirm or otherwise?

Time for the Senate to raise that to the original amount requested (850 million) and maybe add some more to ensure things progress on schedule. As to the money for SLS and Orion… Well, you might just as well drop it in the toilet and flush.

The politicians are turning NASA into a prostitute. They give her money and she gives them votes. It’s sickening.

SLS will almost certainly be an asset to the American space program. It’s just a way to funnel monies to sponsors, contribution bundlers, and other political fauna.

So no surprises for SLS-related funding, which means no funding for potential future SLS payloads.

Being only 7-8 years out from when a real SLS mission payload is required so NASA can start their no-less-than-once-every-12-months SLS flight cadence, essentially Congress is confirming that there is no need for a government-owned, government-run HLV at this time.

Yet another straw on the camels back…
